Spacial Ergonomics with Carmel Murphy and Jaimen McMillan

  • Spacial Dynamics Institute 10 North Main Street Mechanicville, NY, 12118 United States (map)

One of the most important of all places, is your workplace. Our work-lives often involve sitting or standing for long periods of time, executing activities that require repetitive actions that can result in tedium, tiredness, and even pain. Learning to transform your work-place into a work-space can convert an unfavorable environment into one that that minimizes strain and stress.

Carmel Murphy, ergonomist, will team up with Jaimen McMillan, to present a down to earth workshop where participants will take home a toolbox of practical ideas, techniques, and strategies to address these issues which compromise health and well-being. They will demonstrate recommended ways to use chairs, electronic devises, lighting etc., to minimize dangers and maximize ease. They will show how to modify and apply Spacial Dynamics® exercises and movements to enhance postural comfort, foster well-being, and raise alertness and concentration through proper use of the body and one’s surrounding spaces.

This course will be taught at SDI’s Center in Mechanicville, NY as well as live streamed via Zoom for those who are unable to attend in person. Video footage will be available to view and re-view for 4 weeks after course ending.
