Dance

Spacial Dynamics principles and activities have influenced new developments in dance training, concert performance, dancing for health and fitness, and social dance in the community. With the understanding of the dynamics of space surrounding and within the body, dancers can train and perform without the inherent strain and wear and tear on the joints, tendons, and muscles of the body that often lead to chronic pain, injuries, and hip and knee replacements later in life.

Greater ease, flow, balance, strength and stamina is discovered with the active imagery and dynamics of space, thus improving performance and audience perception and enjoyment. The repertoire of international and historic dances and music offer communal experiences of well-being, playfulness, and confidence for dancers of all ages and abilities.

The Arts Center on The Hudson

The Arts Center On The Hudson was founded in 2008 as a community cultural center, promising to make cultural waves that will be felt throughout Saratoga County and the Capital District of New York. This is especially true for waves that reach children. Community programs, public workshops, art exhibits and performances of theater, dance, circus arts, music are offered. For more information, including upcoming programs, visit the website.

Circus Arts

Circus creates social space. "Come one, Come all!" The clumsy clown is as revered as the daredevil acrobat. Some of the best athletes in history have been circus performers. These athletes have given us an important message: It is not necessary for someone to lose in order for someone to win. In a circus we are all winners.

Spacial Dynamics teaches Circus Arts in its training programs, workshops and in school settings because these skills teach perhaps the greatest art of all, the art of being social. This art need not be preached, it is inherent in the balance in partner acrobatics, the timing of the partner jugglers, the supporting roles of pyramid building and group choreography.

In addition, recent scientific studies support what educators have observed over and over again: that the circus arts aid in enhancing both inner and outer balance, directed awareness, and even healthier brain and neurological development.
